Saliva Leaves

This image is part of a series titled "Saliva Leaves", which involve the photographic register of an action/intervention consisting of using my own saliva as a media and toilet paper rolls as a support to make holes on the surface of the paper, each one of them with the shape of a leaf.

The intervened segments of toilet paper were photographed from different angles and the resulting images were then put together to create an organic composition, and the illusion of an intricate foliage. The violet shades of the photographs are the result of the outdoor light and the specific time of the day when the register took place.

In 2017, "Saliva Leaves" was developed into a performance-installation piece as part of The Nerve: Annual Performance Festival at FATVillage Projects, Ft. Lauderdale. 2017   THE NERVE: Annual Performance Art Festival, curated by Leah Brown and Jen Clay. The Projects Contemporary Art Space, FATVillage Arts District,  Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
